Miscellaneous family photos follow:
In the 50’s and early 60’s . . .
Surely that should be petrol rather than derv?
More early training!
That’s quite a big tank to fill
Getting a lift home after a hard days work on the building site.
Fortunately, it didn’t ‘come down like a ton of bricks’.
One young lady was sticking her tongue out . . .
. . . so they had to take the picture again, but then someone was looking at their shoes, not the camera.
So let try again with four more brownies, a different background, and Brown Owl in the picture.
The new cafe, soon after opening in 1962 . . .
In the new cafe, a party to celebrate Mr & Mrs Rudge’s Silver Wedding anniversary (March 1963) . . .
We have a guest list for this party, but cannot put names to all the faces.
At another party later that year, the ‘winking game’ . . .
In the next picture, John appears to be holding on to his ‘girlfriend’. Not sure if the rules permit that – he should only try to stop her if she attempts to move away (see memories section on the ‘new cafe‘ page).
